Back in the day (only 10 years ago now) 35mm motion picture film was projected onto a screen in your theater. In fact, for the last 100 years, that's how we watched movies. You heard right. But now, all that has changed.
When you watch your favorite movie at a theater these days, you're watching a digital projection from a computer file, called a DCP (Digital Cinema Package). Don't get me wrong. This is good news. No more scratches, hairs and dust getting in the way of your movie experience. Just a clean, bright, pristine image. Yay!
I'm excited that MAGPIE FUNERAL will benefit from this technology. Soon, MAGPIE FUNERAL will be in a theater, hopefully near you. Stay tuned and I'll keep you informed as to when and where.
Let me thank Chris and the crew at Simple DCP (Burbank, CA) for their terrific work on MAGPIE FUNERAL. Because of them, MAGPIE FUNERAL will be projected at its best with surround sound! Woohooooo!
